PROJECTS
Luminous Minds Projects promote social, emotional, cultural and artistic development for individuals of all ages. We focus on supporting those with adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and advocating for positive change in education to safe guard our brain health. Our projects include events, trainings, conferences, art based schools and field trips. We collaborate with professionals to provide resources and support for the community.
Touring programs and workshops for high school and middle school students using the performance arts to address social, emotional, and cultural issues in America. Encouraging ongoing group discussions after each program
Luminous Minds presents Learning Curve, a true story about the misdiagnosis of a student with a Learning Disability that stemmed from an Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE). This misdiagnosis led to unjust placement in special education and treatment as a "special needs" student, without recognizing the underlying trauma. The story reveals how discovering an arts-based school provided healing and helped to overcome the learning loss of and impact of ACEs, ultimately transforming their life through social emotional learning and trauma-informed care.

PEER SUPPORT, COMMUNITY CARE+ SEL EDUCATION IN INSTITUTIONS
We have partnered with organizations and groups to bring a new way of thinking about recovery to those in institutions seeking support + education from ACEs.
POLICY CHANGE
Luminous Minds Project is committed to promoting equitable arts education that is trauma-informed and culturally, socially, and emotionally literate. We believe that such education can be transformative and work with the community to advocate for policy and procedural changes in the educational system that prioritize the needs of individuals with adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). We challenge outdated thinking that perpetuates the school-to-prison pipeline and strive to create positive and inclusive change in education that is tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
We partner and collaborate with organizations like ArtsEd Washington who fight for equitable arts education in Washington state.
